Banana Charity launches new kind of donation platform based on blockchain technology

For recent several years, new industries, based on blockchain and digital currencies, have sprung up. And now, blockchain technology is adopted in donation platforms, improving the transparency of donation.

Amid the outbreak of COVID-19, blockchain technology is introduced in donation with the new norm called “untact”, meaning that more people are increasingly interacting online. And, a new crypto donation platform, based on messenger and blockchain, are attracting both blockchain industry and the public.

Branden Park, the Chief Marketing Officer(CMO) of Bananatok, the next generation messenger based on blockchain, announced the establishment of Banana Charity, the official charity group of Bananatok.

As a part of social contributions, Banana Charity let users easily donate cryptocurrencies on Bananatok's chatting room. With Bananatok app, users can also make offering and fundraising, giving congratulatory money. Above all, blockchain technology would largely improve transparency.

Donation channels, that only admins are allowed to receive donations, supports 200 kinds of cryptocurrencies. Banana Charity plans to support KRW, that would lure more users.

As of July 6th, Banana Charity, started to be operated on July 3rd, witnessed 1,000 donations by using 100 kinds of cryptocurrencies.

Users wooed the new concept of donation, designed by Bananatok: I can easily check contributor's name; It's quite easy to donate funds, as I can donate money by using a chatting room on messenger; A donation by using cryptocurrency sounds interesting. 

"Bananatok's unique untact donation is a textbook example of the adoption of blockchain technology. As a donation platform, Bananantok will pioneer the new donation paradigm by cooperating with other foundations," said Branden Park.

"We will support low-income class by using all kinds of cryptocurrencies that Bananians(Bananatok's users) have donated. We will also constantly communicate with contributors, sharing details of donations in an effort to increase transparency," he added.
